Another person died yesterday who got injured in Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) factional clash on Monday at Noakhali Government College under Sadar upazila.
The deceased was Saiful Islam Wasim, 24, the district unit BCL member.
Abu Naser, former BCL eader and now Awami League leader said around 5 pm, Chhatra League Raju group led by Raju beat up Rajib over a trifling matter.
Around 8pm, they sat for a solution in presence of Yeasin and Wasim. At one stage, Saju and Ripon, associates of Raju fired at them. Rajib died on the spot and Yeasin and Wasim received bullet injury.
At first, they were taken to Noakhali General Hospital. As the condition of Wasim deteriorated, he was sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital where the on duty doctor declared Wasim dead in the morning.
Anowar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sudharam Model police station said one was arrested.
