The ruling Awami League will hold a grand rally at Suhrawardy Uddyan on March 7 to mark the day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s historic call for the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.
AL General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam announced the rally after an internal meeting with Awami League and its affiliated bodies.
The meeting was held at the central Awami League office in the Bangbandhu Avenue of the capital yesterday evening.
Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam said Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will chair the rally.
