A Dhaka court has summoned senior BNP leader Goyeshwar Chandra Roy to appear before it on March 16 over a defamation suit filed for making derogatory comments on the 1971 Liberation War martyrs.
Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Md Nuru Mia passed the order after the IO of the case submitted the investigation report before it yesterday.
On January 21, Metropolitan Magistrate Md Aminul Haque directed Shahbagh police to submit the probe report by yesterday. Monindra Kumar Nath, son of martyr Dinesh Chandra Nath, filed the case the same day.
