Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla has held a courtesy meeting with Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Indian envoy thanked Raushan for introducing positive and effective trend of parliamentary democracy in the country, said a press statement.
He said friendly cooperation with Bangladesh is one of Indian's foreign policy priorities.
In response, the Leader of the Opposition told the Indian High Commissioner that Bangladesh-India relations entered a new dynamic phase over the last few years.
Harsh Vardhan also invited Raushan and her party lawmakers to visit the Indian Parliament.
Raushan accepted the invitation cordially and assured him that she along with her party members will visit the Indian parliament in their convenient time.
