At least five people have received bullets during a clash between the members of the local Awami League and Jubo League in Chittagong's Banshkhali upazila.
Banskhali police station OC Swapan Kumar Majumdar told the Dhaka Tribune: “The supporters of Awami League's upazila unit President Kafil Uddin and Jubo League President Maksudur Rahman on Saturday night engaged in a scuffle over getting nomination in the upcoming UP polls.
“Following the brawl, both the sides locked into the clash around 11:30pm, leaving at least five people bullet injured.”
The injured have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), said the OC.
No case has been filed in this connection till filing the report on Sunday evening.
