Update : 10 Feb 2016, 07:06 AM

14-party alliance spokesperson Mohammad Nasim has said Pakistan is plotting against Bangladesh with the help of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

He made the allegation at a press conference held at the Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office on Wednesday morning.

Nasim said: “Pakistan is conspiring against Bangladesh in the same way like 1971 with the help of BNP and Jamaat.

“BNP chief Khaleda Zia is their agent and her statements regarding the Liberation War martyrs is just a part of the conspiracy.”

The health minister also said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to maintain a good relation with Pakistan as it is the member country of South Asian Association Cooperation (SAARC) but if Pakistan continues with these conspiracies then we are in a doubt to keep the relation in the future.”

He also warned Pakistan of cutting all the ties with them if they do not refrain from plotting against Bangladesh.

The alliance spokesperson also mentioned about Shimla Agreement and other international agreements that restricts Pakistan from interfering into Bangladesh's internal matters.

Meanwhile, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif disclosed the route of the human chain which is to be formed across the capital on February 15 in protest to Khaleda's recent statement.

He said the human chain will be held in 14 points from Gabtoli to Jatrabari via Asad gate, Rassel Square and Shahbagh.

Earlier in the day, a meeting was held between the leaders of 14-party alliance, their front organisations, MPs and both the mayors of Dhaka city corporations with the aim to make the human chain a success.
