The BNP-Jamaat alliance would be uprooted from the politics if it restores subversive activities, warned Prime Minister's Political Affairs Adviser HT Imam.
He came up the assertion while addressing a seminar of the Ruling Awami League's publicity and publication unit at Institution of Engineers on Thursday afternoon.
Referring to the deaths in arson attacks since January 5, he said: “The BNP-Jamaat alliance will be uprooted and the guilty will be taken to task if it again unleash violence and carry out subversive activities in the name of anti-government movement.”
The president of Awami League's publicity and publication unit also expressed hope that the BNP-led political alliance would participate in the development works undertaken by the present government, shunning the path of violence.
He called upon the countrymen to get united again with the aim to build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla.
