BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain was admitted to a city hospital on Thursday morning.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's press wing official Syrul Kabir Khan told the Dhaka Tribune that Mosharraf suddenly felt chest pains on Thursday morning.
He has been admitted to United Hospital.
Mosharraf was recently released from jail.
