HT Imam: BNP-Jamaat alliance with violent agenda

Update : 06 Jan 2016, 08:42 AM

Political Adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina HT Imam has alleged that the BNP-Jamaat alliance carried out widespread destructive activities last year with agenda of violence.

HT Imam made the statement while visiting a photo exhibition on the burnt victims of the hartals and blockades of the 20-party alliance in Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Wednesday.

“For three months at a stretch in 2015, they (BNP-Jamaat alliance) conducted arson acts on innocent people across the country and their violence activities proved that they don't believe in Bangladesh's existence. The subversive activities were akin to the 1971 massacre. The coalition is proceeding now to implement their harmful agenda.”

The ruling party AL's publication and publicity committee hosted the event where many diplomats were present as well along the party's some senior leaders.

Drawing attention of the foreign mission heads, HT Imam, also chairman of the committee, said the BNP-led alliance wants to keep the country unstable in the name of democracy.

He also alleged that the BNP-Jamaat alliance carried out widespread destructive activities last year aimed to efface the name “Bangladesh.”
