Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has opined that BNP has recently leant towards the politics of accusation being failed in all near past movements and elections.
He said: “They [BNP] are repeatedly alleging that the upcoming municipal polls will be worst, not be free and fair. They will win in 80 percent of the seats. But they can not read out the message and intention of the countrymen.
"The party's leaders have been limited to theirs homes and it will defeat in 80 percent of the seats in the municipal elections owing to their negative politics. In this circumstance, now they have no scope except hurling cunning message."
The minister made the statement on Saturday noon during a visit on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Pachdunai area of Narsingdi.
Obaidul Quader also directed the parties concerned to remove all bill boards with own initiative along the highway within the allotted time.
Earlier, the minister made such several directions, but his move failed to make any fruitful results finally.
