BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been released on bail from Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur.
Nasir Ahmed, jail super of Kashimpur Jail part-2, told the Dhaka Tribune.
He said the BNP leader was released around 5pm, after the jail authorities received the High Court order that granted him bail.
Earlier on November 24, Supreme Court upheld the High Court order that granted bail to Rizvi in a number of arson cases.
On November 2, the High Court granted interim bail to the BNP leader.
RAB arrested Rizvi from a house in the capital’s Baridhara area on January 30 amid BNP’s non-stop countrywide transport blockade.
