Joint force members in a special drive have arrested 41 people including 27 local activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami from separate areas of the district of Satkhira on Thursday.
The drive started from Wednesday night and continued before dawn in eight upazilas.
When asked, Satkhira police's special branch Sub-Inspector Enamul Hoque confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune and said the arrested included 14 accused in different cases registered with the police stations.
The force was comprised of members from Rapid Action Battalion, police and Border Guard Bangladesh.
