‘Mobin's resignation outcome of BNP's negative politics’

Update : 30 Oct 2015, 01:44 PM

The resignation of BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury is a shocking outcome of BNP's negative politics, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said.

"Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury's resignation, I think, is a frustrating exposure of BNP's negative politics," said the minister while talking to reporters in Chowmuhani on Friday.

Quader, also a senior Awami League leader, said Mobin's resignation is also an outcome of BNP's internal conflict, reports UNB.

Earlier on Thursday, Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury announced his retirement from politics resigning from all the posts of BNP on health ground.

Mentioning that Mobin, a diplomat-turned politician, was actively involved in the BNP's diplomatic drive and policy decision, Quader said he led the party in lodging complaints with foreigners against the government. "But now he couldn't be there in the party."

He alleged that having failed to make their movement a success, BNP is now making various evil efforts to tarnish Bangladesh's image abroad.

"BNP top leaders are now deserting the party out of their frustration and it has begun with Shamsher Mobin's resignation," Quader observed.

Before exchanging views with the local journalists, the minister witnessed the progress of repair works on different roads.
