Update : 28 Oct 2015, 06:47 PM

A Dhaka court yesterday indicted BNP Standing Committee Member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in a case filed for siphoning off around Tk9.55 crore to the UK.

Judge M Ataur Rahman of the Dhaka’s Special Judge’s Court 1 charged the BNP leader after rejecting his discharge petition.

The court set November 29 to begin the trial in the case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission.

When the prosecution read out the charges and asked the accused whether he is guilty or not, Mosharraf claimed himself innocent and pleaded for justice.

ACC Director Nasim Anwar submitted the charge sheet to the Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on August 14 last year. The case was filed on February 6 the same year.
