Qamrul: BNP is plotting new conspiracies along with international militant groups

Update : 24 Oct 2015, 01:23 AM

Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam said the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has started a new political conspiracy in the name of cutting off ties with its ally Jamaat-e-Islami.

He made the remarks while addressing a discussion meeting organised by Bangabandhu Sainik League of Dhaka South at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital yesterday.

Qamrul, also joint-general secretary of Awami League Dhaka City unit, said BNP has plotted the conspiracy of killing foreigners with cooperation of international terrorist and militant groups to tarnish the image of the country.

“BNP’s sudden decision to cut off ties with Jamaat is part of the party’s new conspiracy, plotted by Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman in London. They are leaving Jamaat not for ideological reasons, it’s just an eye wash,” said former state minister of law.

“Although BNP says they are going to leave Jamaat, the party already made ties with international militant and terrorist groups,” he added.

The Awami League leader further said the killings of two foreign nationals was part of a deep-rooted conspiracy and was proof of BNP’s link with international criminal groups.

“Such a conspiracy by the party was only to come to power by destroying the image of the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh,” he added.

The Awami League leader has urged everyone to be remain alert about the BNP’s new conspiracy.
