BNP-Jamaat is involved in the recent murders of foreigners in Bangladesh, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the ICT Advisor to Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, has claimed.
Joy, also son of the premier, made the disclosure in a status of his official Facebook page on Wednesday.
“I have information from a reliable source that BNP-Jamaat are involved in the recent murder of foreigners in Bangladesh. They have done this in a desperate attempt to turn foreign governments against our country and destabilize it,” Joy said in the social media status.
He further claimed that this information comes from within the BNP in London.
“This information comes from within the BNP in London.”
Earlier on October 4, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina alleged that the BNP-Jamaat has connection with the two murders of two citizens - one from Italy who was killed at Gulshan in Dhaka and another from Japan was killed in Rangpur.
The premier on Wednesday urged all to stay alert against the planned conspiracies to halt the pace of nation's development and progress.
Citing the London tour of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia a mystery and part of the conspiracy against the government, Awami League 14-party's ruling alliance leaders termed Khaleda's London visit and killing of foreign nationals are inseparable.
The ruling alliance central leaders further said the link between BNP chief Khaleda Zia's London visit, link with Jamaat-e-Islami and the foreign nationals' killing should be investigated.
