Former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) also BNP leader Mizanur Rahman Minu has been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Wednesday morning.
Minu was taken to RMCH from Rajshahi central jail around 11.30am after he complained of chest pain on Wednesday morning.
He is now undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital, said cardiologist Dr Khalek.
On July 13, two separate courts sent Mizanur Rahman Minu to jail turning down his bail petitions in six cases filed for vandalism and arson during the BNP-led 20-party alliance's hartal and blockade programme.
