BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has demanded international probe under the supervision of United Nations (UN) on all the killings, abduction and forced disappearance incidents of the country.
The former premier also demanded to include the neutral persons of Bangladesh in the international probe committee to make an authentic investigation.
She came up with the demand after exchanging views with the family members of missing or abducted BNP leaders and activists at her Gulshan office in the capital on the day of International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances on Sunday.
Khaleda alleged that killing, abduction and forced disappearance incidents took place in the country with the patron of the government.
“The government observes many international days but did not observe any international forced disappearance day because they are involved with this. They (government) feel ashamed and fear to observe the day.”
The BNP chief urged the government to return the missing people to their family members soon.
