Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) councillors to elect meritorious and regular students in its council instead of selection culture.
She made the direction to BCL men while inaugurating a two-day council of Bangladesh Chhatra League at historic Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Saturday.
She asked the BCL activists to keep it in mind so that its image is not dented in any way.
The PM stressed ideology-based student politics as the independence of Bangladesh came based on an ideology.
