The inspector general of police yesterday said it was frustrating to hear BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s recent claims that the police force were behind the arson attacks during the BNP’s agitation programme.
Khaleda should be more responsible while making statements, AKM Shahidul Islam told a press briefing at the police headquarters.
“It is very unfortunate when a responsible person like Khaleda gives political statements in an effort to demolish the goodwill of the police. She had lied in her remarks.”
