The Appellate Division yesterday upheld the High Court order that granted bail to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in three separate cases of vandalism and arson attacks.
A four-member bench headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha passed the order yesterday morning, disposing of the state plea that sought stay on Fakhrul’s bail.
The apex court granted bail to Fakhrul until police submit the probe report before the lower court in any of the three cases.
The court also asked the BNP leader to surrender before the court on the day police submit the probe report.
