BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be able to take part in the general election scheduled to be held in 2019 due to her terrorist activities, Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu on Saturday has said.
Inu made the comment while taking part in the general discussion on the proposed budget for the fiscal 2015-2016 in the Jatiya Sangsad on Saturday, reports BSS.
Inu, who was very critical of BNP chief, called her 'fire-terrorist' and said people won't forgive her for all misdeeds including killing innocent people through arson and petrol bomb attacks.
“A general election will be held in 2019 where only democratic forces will vie and there will be no scope for any fire-terrorist to take part in the polls," said the minister.
He said: “Begum Zia is trying to save the identified war criminals in many ways but she would not be able to do it and she (Khaleda) must to stay outside the politics ultimately.”
