US Under Secretary of States for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman has met BNP Chairperson Kheleda Zia at her Gulshan office in the capital.
Sherman, accompanied by US envoy in Dhaka Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat, went to the office of BNP chief at 4:30pm on Friday, Khaleda’s press wing official Syrul Kabir Khan Sohel told the Dhaka Tribune.
The current political situation including recently held city corporation polls in Dhaka and Chittagong was discussed during the meeting, Syrul added.
