DT reporter’s mother passes away

Hanufa Hossain, the wife of late Syed Amjad Hossain, Editor of The Detective and mother of the Dhaka Tribune’s Diplomatic Correspondent Syed Zainul Abedin, died at her residence in Mohammadpur on Sunday. She was 67. She left behind three sons, a daughter and grandchildren. According to her family, she passed away at 5pm. She was suffering from stomach ulcer and rheumatoid arthritis. Hanufa’s body was laid to rest at Azimpur Graveyard after holding a namaz-e-janaza. Hanufa’s qulkhwani will be held at her residence in building No D-8, Flat No 33-34, Kazi Nazrul Islam Road after Asr prayers today.
