Chehlum of Saleha Shairf held

The Chehlum of Saleha Shairf, wife of late Prof Dr Ahmed Sharif, a free thinker, educationist and former chairman of Bangla department at Dhaka University, was held on Sunday evening at Shimanto Square auditorium in Dhanmondi. Among others, Dr Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, Dr Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque, Dr Ahmed Kabir, Dr Mansur Musa, Hasan Fakri, relatives, friends and admirers of the deceased attended the programme. Saleha Sharif died of cardiac arrest at the city’s United Hospital on March 29 at the age of 87.
