Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam’s father-in-law Brig Gen (retd) Dr M Rafiqul Bari has passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
He died at 4:06am on Friday.
The 86-year-old army personnel participated in the 1952 Language Movement and was the chief surgeon at CMH for eight years until his retirement in 1989.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Mohakhali DOHS mosque after Jummah prayers and later, he will be laid to rest at the Military Graveyard in Dhaka's Banani area.
