The acting editor of Daily Manob Kantho, Abu Bakar Chowdhury, 54, died of cardiac arrest at IbnSina Hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Family sources said Chowdhury breathed his last around 5:15am on Tuesday after he was rushed to the hospital from his Dhanmondi residence, reports BSS.
He is survived by his wife, mother and a host of relatives, and admirers.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at Masjid-ut-Taqwaat Dhanmondi 12A after zohr prayers.
Later, he was buried at Azimpur graveyard in the city.
Abu Bakar Chowdhury started his journalism career in 1991. He worked for Weekly Protayon, Weekly Khobor, Ajker Kagoj, Amader Somoy, Sokaler Khobor, Samakal and finally, Dainik Manob Kantho.
