His body, accompanied 25 relatives including his wife, son and daughter, was taken to his maternal grandfather’s home in the port city upon arrival.

Chittagong Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin received Bachchu’s body on behalf of the city’s citizens.
Speaking to reporters, he confirmed that the city corporation will take full responsibility for organizing the namaz-e-janaza, last rites and burial of Ayub Bachchu.
Bachchu’s fourth namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Jamiatul Falah Mosque. His body will be kept in the mosque premises from 3pm until his namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers. He will then be laid to rest beside his mother’s grave at the Choitonno Goli graveyard.

It was Bachchu’s last wish to be buried alongside his mother.
Ayub Bachchu suffered heart failure at his home around 8:30am on Thursday. On Friday, thousands of people from all walks of life thronged the Central Shaheed Minar premises on Friday to bid farewell to legendary rock star.
