Today marks the fifth death anniversary of eminent jurist and constitution expert Barrister Dr Muhammad Zahir. He passed away on July 11, 2013.
Dr Zahir taught company law at Dhaka University and was a senior advocate at Bangladesh Supreme Court. He was also the convener and member of several company law reform committees in Bangladesh.
He was elected a member of the Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France.
Zahir authored the renowned analytical legal publication, “Company and Securities Laws,” which is being widely used as a book of reference in South Asia, Australia, Canada and the UK.
His colleagues and friends are requested to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings for his departed soul.
