Choudhury AKM Shamsuddoha, son of late Kafiluddin Choudhury and Sufia Begum, passed away at his residence in Dhaka on Wednesday around 8:30pm.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held today after the Jummah prayers at the Azad Mosque in Gulshan 2.
His qulkhwani will be held on Monday after the Asr prayers at the Gulshan Jame Mosque in Gulshan 1.
Born in Comilla in 1928, Shamsuddoha studied civil engineering in Buet (formerly known as Ahsanullah Engineering College) and later in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the US.
After his graduation, he taught at Buet for a few years before setting up his own business and industries.
He left behind his wife, a son, three daughters and six grandchildren.
His family requests everyone to pray for his departed soul.
