The sixth session of the 11th parliament has begun.
The day’s proceedings began with the recitation from the Holy Quran around 4:18pm on Thursday with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin also nominated a five-member panel of chairmen for the sixth session of the House, reports UNB.
The panel chairman members are Ali Ashraf, Shahiduzzaman Sarker, Kazi Keramot Ali, Kazi Firoze Rashid, and Syeda Zakia Nur.
They will conduct the House proceedings in chronological order in the absence of the speaker and the deputy speaker.
The speaker announced their names in the beginning of the day’s business.
