Clash over land dispute injures 8 in Jhenaidah

The locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Jhenidah sadar hospital. The injured are Shariful Islam, 50, Abdur Rahman, 40, Uzayur Rahman, 35, Nur Islam, 60, Jahanara Khatun, 55, Shahajahan Ali Bishash 40, Taslim Khatun, 30, Peyara Ali Joyaddor, 35. Jhenaidah Sadar upazila acting Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harendra Nath Sarkar said: “There was a conflict going on between Shariful Islam and Nur Islam for the past few days.” “As a result, there was a clash between the two at around 11am which led to eight people being injured from both parties.” Harendranath said the situation is currently under control. “We will take action after a case is filed,” he added.
