Grameen Bank officials jailed for embezzlement

The convicts were Md Delwar Hasan, branch manager of the bank and Md Shah Alam, an official. According to the prosecution, the two officials misappropriated Tk18 lakh of 7 clients while they were performing duties in Raipasha-Koira para union branch in 2011. Later, a case was filed in this connection on October, 3, 2012 with Anti-corruption Co-mission. On October, 14, 2016, Anti-Corruption Co-mission Director submitted a charge sheet. Judge Dilipkumar handed down the verdict .
