The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has detained a Bangladeshi teenager while he was returning to Lalmonirhat’s Patgram upazila illegally.
A BSF petrol team detained Liton Mia, 17 from Sreerampur union’s Mastarpara border around 5am on Wednesday, according to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Lalmonirhat-15 Battalion Director Lt Col Golam Morshed said the BGB is trying to hold flag meeting with the BSF regarding the matter.

According to the locals, BSF detained Liton along with cattle from Burimari border’s no 843 main pillar, 300 yards inside India. They also said that Liton was smuggling cattle into Bangladesh with the help of several others.
Some locals also claimed that BSF had beaten up Liton when they found him in Indian territory.
