202 dengue patients hospitalized in Khulna division in 24 hours

A total of 202 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across Khulna division in the past 24 hours, raising the number of patients currently undergoing treatment to 618.

The information was disclosed in a report issued by the office of the Divisional Director of Health.

According to the report, a total of 4,806 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the division since January 1 this year. Of them, 16 have died, while 4,089 patients have recovered and been discharged. So far, 83 patients have been referred to other hospitals.

Divisional Director of Health Dr Sheikh Md Mosharraf Hossain said that of the 202 new patients admitted in the past 24 hours, 156 were admitted to government hospitals and 46 to private hospitals.

The data showed that 87 new dengue patients were admitted in Khulna district during the period. Another 56 patients were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital. In addition, 14 patients were admitted in Bagerhat, 17 in Jessore, two in Satkhira, two at Satkhira Medical College Hospital, four in Magura, 13 in Narail, two in Kushtia, three in Chuadanga and two in Meherpur.

Currently, 255 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals in Khulna, while 156 are at Khulna Medical College Hospital. The number of patients under treatment is 89 in Bagerhat, 49 in Jessore, 12 in Jhenaidah, seven in Satkhira, 10 at Satkhira Medical College Hospital, eight in Magura, 10 in Narail, three in Kushtia, three in Chuadanga and six in Meherpur.
