The Bangladesh Air Force Women Welfare Association (BAFWWA) on Wednesday provided free medical treatment and essential medicines to flood-affected people in Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar district.
The medical assistance was carried out under the initiative and guidance of BAFWWA Chairperson Saleha Khan and the supervision of the BAFWWA Sub-Regional Branch, Moulvibazar Radar Unit.
In addition to the medical services, dry food and safe drinking water were distributed among affected residents.
BAFWWA said relief and humanitarian assistance activities by the Bangladesh Air Force and the organization will continue until the flood situation returns to normal under the guidance of the Chief of Air Staff and the BAFWWA chairperson.
The Chief of Air Staff has instructed all Bangladesh Air Force bases and units to carry out the necessary humanitarian assistance activities.
The Bangladesh Air Force also said its rescue teams, helicopters, and Disaster Management Cell remain on standby to respond to any emergency situation.
