Satkhira has got a new Deputy Commissioner as Kawsar Aziz formally assumed office, succeeding Afroza Akhter.
Before her appointment, Kawsar Aziz served as a Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Division. She has been transferred to Satkhira as part of a recent government posting.
Originally from Netrakona, she completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in English at the University of Dhaka. She joined the civil service through the 28th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination and began her career as an Assistant Commissioner in Comilla.
During her career, she has held several administrative positions, including Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Gauripur, Mymensingh, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) in Kuliarchar, Kishoreganj. She also served as Assistant Director at the Land Administration Training Center.
Upon joining, Kawsar Aziz called for cooperation from local officials and residents to ensure effective governance.
