Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian goods worth Taka 3.5 crore during a week-long series of operations along the Cumilla and Brahmanbaria borders, officials said on Monday.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Md. Ziaur Rahman, commander of the Sultanpur Battalion (BGB-60) under the Cumilla sector, the seizures were made between December 1 and December 7 as part of intensified surveillance and coordinated anti-smuggling drives, reports BSS.

BGB teams conducted operations in the border areas of Adarsh Sadar, Brahmanpara, and Burichang in Comilla district, as well as Akhaura and Kasba in Brahmanbaria, acting on combing operations and intelligence reports.
