An orientation meeting on the Public Procurement Rules (PPR) 2025 was held on Wednesday at the LGED office in Thakurgaon Sadar.
The event was organized to brief local contractors on transparency, accountability and the updated regulations in government procurement. Around one hundred contractors from the district took part in the session.
The meeting was presided over by Md Mamun Biswas, Executive Engineer of LGED Thakurgaon. Senior Assistant Engineer Md Safiul Alam, Assistant Engineer Md Fahad Hossain Sourav, and other officials spoke as key discussants. They elaborated on major provisions of PPR 2025, online tender procedures, common challenges and practical solutions.
Contractors Sohel, Kajol and Masud shared their views and appreciated LGED’s support in understanding the new rules. Speakers noted that PPR 2025 will play a vital role in ensuring fairness and transparency in project implementation. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where LGED officials addressed participants’ queries.
