BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has inquired about the treatment of a young child who was a victim of physical abuse in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria.
Following his directive, BNP health affairs secretary and coordinator of the Healthcare Support Cell, Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, visited the child at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He inquired about her condition and treatment and provided financial assistance.
Dr Islam also spoke with the child’s family, assuring them of continued support, including both medical and legal assistance.
He spoke to the doctors involved in the child’s treatment and urged them to ensure she receives the best possible care.
The health support team accompanying him included Dr Nazrul Islam, Professor Foara Tasmeem Pami, Dr Md Jamshed Ali, Dr Saiful Alam Badsha, and Dr Kazi Abu Talha.
The five-and-a-half-year-old girl was tortured near her home in Bancharampur on Tuesday.
