Police recovered the dismembered bodies of two women and a child from Siddhirganj in Narayanganj on Friday.
The bodies, stuffed in sacks, were found around 1pm on the bank of a pond in the Mizmizi West Para area of Siddhirganj, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shahinur Alam of Siddhirganj police station.
The deceased were Lamia, her sister Swapna, and nephew Habib.
Swapna’s husband, Yasin, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Locals spotted the dismembered bodies packed in sacks in the Mizmizi area and informed police, said the OC.
Law enforcers from the police station and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) went to the scene to gather details about the murder, the police official added.
It is suspected that Yasin might have killed the three over family-related issues, said the OC.
