A mild heatwave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Rangamati, Feni, Sitakunda, Jessore, Bagerhat and Patuakhali, and it may continue, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said on Thursday.
The met office said the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged for the next five days, the met office predicted.
The BMD recorded the country's highest temperature on Wednesday, 36.4°C, in Jessore and Thursday's lowest temperature, 19°C, in Sitakunda upazila, Chittagong.
