Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus visited the under-construction Cox’s Bazar airport on Friday to inspect the progress of the project.
Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Superintending Engineer Aminul Hasib briefed Yunus on the current status of the construction work.
Several senior civil and military officials were also present during the visit.
Earlier in the day, Yunus arrived in Cox’s Bazar along with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
Their Biman flight landed at Cox’s Bazar airport at approximately 12:48pm.
Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam welcomed them upon arrival.
