At least three people were killed in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh on Monday.
The accident occurred around 9:30am at Choura Bari in Baitkandi on the Phulpur-Sherpur road.
Two others were injured in the incident. The identities of the deceased and the injured were not immediately known.
Phulpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hadi confirmed the incident and said: “A passenger autorickshaw was heading towards Sherpur when it collided head-on with an oncoming truck. As a result, three passengers of the autorickshaw died on the spot.”
The police official also said that the two injured individuals were rescued and taken to Phulpur Upazila Health Complex.
