A case has been filed in connection with the rape of an eight-year-old child in Magura, with four individuals having been arrested so far.
The girl's mother filed a case with Magura Sadar police station at noon on Saturday.
The four arrested individuals include the girl's sister's father-in-law Hitu Mia, and his son Sajib Sheikh.
Magura rape: 8-year-old being transferred to CMHThe case has been registered under section 9(4) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, with charges of rape and causing injury through rape.
Magura's Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mirajul Islam, said: "The child is undergoing treatment in Dhaka, and her mother is with her. Her elder sister and father sent the complaint to the police station this morning, leading to the case being filed. The four accused were already in police custody and have been shown to be arrested in this case."
