A fire broke out at a jhut (fabric scrap) warehouse in Ashulia, Savar, on Friday.
The blaze originated in a tin-shed jhut warehouse owned by Md Sharif, located in the Pobnartek area of Ashulia's Jamgora.
According to the fire service, four firefighting units from the DEPZ Fire Service and the Jirabo Modern Fire Service rushed to the scene and worked to bring the fire under control by 3:15pm.
The fire service has not yet determined the cause of the fire or assessed the extent of the damage.
