Due to a deterioration in his condition, he was transferred to Dhaka for advanced treatment early in the morning, where he later passed away in the afternoon.
The clash stemmed from tensions surrounding the election for the position of school management committee president at Burapara Miton Secondary School in Mirpur.
Jamaat activists claimed that local BNP leader Nasir pressured Jamaat leader Mukul to withdraw his candidacy.
The dispute escalated when Nasir allegedly threatened Mukul on Saturday night.
In protest, Jamaat-e-Islami organized a meeting at the school grounds on Sunday afternoon.
During the gathering, Nasir and his supporters allegedly attacked with sticks and local weapons, leading to the clash.
