Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday forecasted weather may remain dry over the country but have chances of light rain or drizzling at one or two places over Rangpur division.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur division”, according to the forecast at 9am on Monday.
A ridge of subcontinental high extends up to West Bengal and the adjoining area. A seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during late night to early morning.
The night temperature may rise slightly over the southern part of the country, and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere. The day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 31.0°C at Feni and minimum temperature on Monday was recorded 10.8°C at Jessore.
