Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday forecasted weather may remain mainly dry for the next 24 hours over the country beginning from morning.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", said the forecast begins from 9am.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
Moderate to dense fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to dense fog.
The night temperature may fall by 2-3°C, and the day temperature may fall by 2-4°C over the country. Due to dense fog, cold feelings may increase during the daytime.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was 30°C at Sitakunda, and the minimum temperature on Wednesday was 12.8°C at Jashore.
The sun sets on Wednesday at 5:28pm and rises on Thursday at 6:43am in the capital.
