Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route in Rajbari and Manikganj resumed after a nine-and-a-half-hour suspension due to dense fog.
The ferry services became operational at around 10:30am on Sunday after the fog density decreased.
Earlier, around 1:00am on Saturday night, ferry services were suspended due to increased fog density to prevent accidents.
This caused severe inconvenience to passengers and vehicle drivers, who had to endure the cold throughout the night.
Mohammad Salahuddin, Assistant General Manager of the Daulatdia terminal of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), said: "Ferry services resumed at 10:30am on Sunday as the fog density decreased. Services had been suspended since 1:00am on Saturday night to avoid accidents. Currently, 15 ferries, both large and small, are operating on this route."
